BioVendor R&D Products’ mission is to provide researchers and medical experts with topquality immunodiagnostics and related biochemicals – antibodies and recombinant proteins, aimed mainly at: obesity/metabolic syndrome/diabetes, cardiovascular physiology, kidney injury, bone metabolism/osteoporosis, immune response/infection/inflammation, neural tissue damage markers, and animal model research.

BioVendor’s strength stems from its full control over the whole R&D process conducted by continuously educated researchers in new, fully equipped labs. Our customers include the world’s top-ranking scientific institutions, pharmaceutical and biotech companies and clinical laboratories. As a result, we have recently opened branches in Germany, the USA and China, to expedite distribution, improve our customer service and to strengthen the existing worldwide network of BioVendor’s distributors.
BioVendor has become internationally recognised for its achievements in rapid launching of high-quality products – results of the developments of biomarkers for early detection of common diseases associated with postindustrial societies. We are proud that BioVendor’s Leptin ELISA, the first commercial ELISA (1998), opened the door to investigate fat tissue hormones and our Adiponectin ELISA as the first kit marked as IVD in the EU brought determination of this hormone into clinical routine.

Recombinant Proteins

The combination of perfectly postranslationally processed recombinant proteins produced in human cell line HEK 293 and robust E. coli recombinant production systems is crucial for raising top-quality antibodies and ELISA development. We strive to accelerate development of new recombinant proteins and fulfill the needs of scientists within our selected fields. Our main goal is to offer molecules with full biological activity.

Monoclonal and Polyclonal Antibodies

BioVendor’s antibody development benefits from the company’s superiority in the preparation of recombinant proteins. Our original and excellent monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies enable researchers to obtain original data that have resulted in many publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals. BioVendor provides application data for the antibodies and can provide the immunoassay manufacturers with validated antibody matched pairs tested by our immunoassay development team.

Immunoassays

BioVendor’s competitive advantage is its independence from external sources of antibodies and calibrators in the development of immunodiagnostics. This enables us to be flexible and release ELISA kits for new biomarkers soon after the first interesting results have been published. Currently, we have launched over 60 ELISA kits, and we have 50 immunoassays for the detection of newly identified protein markers in the product pipeline.

We put great emphasis on high assay sensitivity, superior analytical characteristics and userfriendly kit performance. BioVendor’s kits are used in research labs throughout more than 60 countries. ELISAs for Adiponectin, Leptin, Osteoprotegerin, sTfR, and others have been validated as IVDs according to the EU directive and are utilised by routine clinical labs in such demanding and competitive markets as the EU countries, USA and Japan.

BATS

The BioVendor Analytical Testing Service offers complete sample analyses measured by our immunoassays which are fully validated for clinical studies. Our personnel are skilled in immunoassay development and we utilize their detailed understanding of the assay performance. These skills allow us to modify and validate our existing assays to unusual types of matrices. BioVendor´s Quality Assurance system guarantees detailed recording and traceability within the whole testing service process.
